The Roper house has been a little stressful the past three weeks because of a “secret”. Yesterday it was announced so it’s okay for me to tell. Kent was called as the Bishop of the Florin Ward. Crazy, I know. It doesn’t seem possible, he’s only 31! I have thought and thought about this for the past three weeks and found out yesterday that it wasn’t a dream. It still hasn’t sunk in yet, but I’m sure it will with Kent being gone a lot. Yesterday was the beginning. I only saw him for a couple of hours. I am thankful for family and friends who support us in all we do. For those who are willing to help out whenever needed. You guys are awesome. Thank you for those of you who came from near and far, to support us. I don’t know how life will be from now on, but I know that Kent was called by the Lord. We are so blessed! Hope everyone is enjoying the fall weather. I’m loving it.

Congrats to Kent and to the family. That is great and I know he will do a great job and Jacki you will be great as a bishops wife!!!!!

WOW. I’m not surprised at all though. Not with the kind of man Kent is. And they always say that behind the man is always a wonderfully strong wife. It’s so true for you all. Again, I say wow. If you need anything, I’m here for your family.

VERY cool! Congrats and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. We knew it would happen the day we saw Kent shaving the side of his head bald when he was 16. (still gives me the heebie jeebies)
