The summer went by so fast. School is here again. I am excited, but sad at the same time. I can’t believe I have a 3rd and 1st grader. It’s crazy. They are getting so big.

On July 5th, Kent and Joseph were able to go on the Cub Scout hike.  Joseph had been wait for this hike for a while and was bummed that they had scheduled it while we were in Utah.  Thankfully,  Sister Otter postponed it.  They had fun looking at nature and just having fun.  Joseph brought his best friend, Ruben, with him which made it even more fun.

Miss Carlisle

This is Joseph’s 2nd Grade teacher, Miss Carlisle. Joseph had such a great time in her class. He thought she was the best teacher and says that she was his favorite. Miss Carlisle was a great teacher for Joseph. She really helped him enjoy school!  As much as he loved 2nd grade, I know he will do well in 3rd. We found out he will have Ms. Neff, who was one of his teachers in Kindergarten. Crazy how time flies!

I know it’s a lot of posts, but bare with me. We are getting closer. Joseph had his birthday party last Monday. His theme was soccer, so of course almost everything was something having to do with soccer. We rented a bounce house that was a sports arena (if you need the name, their pretty reasonable). It was a lifesaver for the kids and the adults. We had so much fun. Autumn made this cute ice cream cake. It was as yummy as it looks. Thanks Autumn.

Aunt Juli and Uncle Trevor got him a new soccer ball. We needed it! bday3.jpg

It has been so crazy around here that I haven’t been able to update this site. I think life is going to slow down just a tad, which makes me SO happy. Anyway. Last Saturday, Joseph was baptized. My mom, stepdad, sister Jen and niece Ashlin were able to come from Utah. And Aunt Dawn came from Washington. It was fun to be with family and to just hang out. The baptism went so well. Thanks to all of you that helped. Here are some pictures.

Joseph is Eight!

Yep, my oldest is eight now. What does that make me? O-L-D! Just joking. I know there are other moms out there that have older children, but I just feel old. I don’t feel like I should have a child that is eight. Well. I have to suck it up, cuz it happened.

Joseph is so awesome though. He is such a great big brother and is such a helper.

Some of the things Joseph is into right now are:

Soccer

Wii

Art Stuff

His Camera (Thanks Grandpa!)

Riding his bike

Cooking

Joseph is having so much fun with his bike. He just finally learned how to ride it last month. He loves to go out in the court and ride. We have only had a few tumbles that have needed my attention. Joseph also loves helping in the kitchen. He will help with about anything and is so proud when people thank him for dinner. I just can’t believe he is getting so old. I love having Joseph in our family. Happy 8th Birthday Joseph!

P.S Joseph is getting baptized on Saturday. I’ll put pictures up as soon as I can!
